[Northampton] Blisworth to Peterborough through Northampton which opened in 1845 along with the town's first railway station, Bridge Street station. This was followed [West Coast Main Line] direct connection between Rugby and Stafford. South of Rugby there is a loop that serves Northampton, and there is also a branch north of Crewe to Liverpool [Stamford Bridge (stadium)] stadium. In its early days, Stamford Bridge stadium was served by a small railway station, Chelsea and Fulham railway station, which was later closed after [Whilton Locks] where the Northampton Branch turns off to join the River Nene at Northampton. Just below the junction, the railway line from London to Rugby crosses the [Market Harborough] until 1850 with a link to Rugby but this was quickly followed by links to Leicester and London in 1857 and to Northampton in 1859. In 1850, William Symington [Euston railway station] Northwestern Railway operates regional and commuter services. 2 trains per hour to Tring 1 to Milton Keynes Central 2 to Birmingham New Street via Northampton 1 [Bugbrooke] valley of the River Nene. It is about 7 miles (11.3 km) south west of Northampton. The M1, one of the busiest motorways in England is about 2 miles (3 [Wellingborough] had two railway stations: the first called Wellingborough London Road, opened in 1845 and closed in 1966, linked Peterborough with Northampton. The second [Bedford Blues] the field where Queens Works now stands.
