[Montgomery Canal] Gronwyn Wharf is navigable and connected to the rest of the national Canal & River Trust network. Separately, a short stretch at Llanymynech and a central [Ellesmere Canal] the original level. In 1796 the Llanymynech Branch was opened, linking the main line at Frankton Junction with Llanymynech. This joined the Montgomeryshire [Llanymynech Heritage Area] Llanymynech Heritage Area is an historic former lime kiln, quarry and industrial site near the village of Llanymynech, Shropshire in the Welsh Marches [Llanymynech railway station] Llanymynech railway station was an important junction station on the Cambrian Railways mainline from Welshpool, Powys to Oswestry, Shropshire, serving [George W. Buck] a fortnight. Today a boat is named after him, which operates from Llanymynech Wharf on the Montgomery Canal. Buck, George Watson (1839). A Practical and [Llangollen Canal] A wharf, public house, stables and other features were constructed near Westoncommon, and four lime kilns were built, to burn lime from Llanymynech using [Montgomery Dinghy Dawdle] had been lowered. In 2007 the dawdle was between Burgedin Locks and Llanymynech Wharf. It took place on Sunday, 10 June 2007. The 2008 dawdle took place [Llanfyllin Branch] floor. Branching off from the former Oswestry and Newtown Railway at Llanymynech station, the lines access was to the north of the station to provide [Crickheath Tramway] Porth-y-waen lime quarries near Llanymynech to the Crickheath Wharf (near Pant, Shropshire) on the Ellesmere Canal's Llanymynech branch. It opened in the 1820s [Clwyd Limestone Group] Eglwyseg north of Llangollen and south again, to the west of Oswestry to Llanymynech Hill on the Powys/Shropshire border.
