Lock moorings are on the right of this photo.
Although boats are moored in the weir channel, don't be tempted to go down here as it gets progressively narrower and hence difficult to turn. Reversing out against the current would not be easy.
It's wide enough to wind most boats here, but the lock keepers don't like it as it can interfere with other traffic, and there's a risk of the current drawing boats towards the weir.
