The River Nene is tidal downstream of the Dog-in-a-Doublet and this mooring provides safety for boats on this tidal stretch. All passages through the Dog-in-a-Doublet tidal lock must be booked at least 24 hours in advance with the lock keeper, telephone 01733 202219
