![Gate from Caldwall Mill Bridge to Round Hill Wharf, Kidderminster. The public footpath, connecting the Staffs & Worcs Canal towpath to Park Lane, passes through this gate, then continues ahead in a straight line through a further gate, and out onto Park Lane. The roads on the Round Hill Wharf residential development are private, and the owners don't want the general public wandering around apparently, as this notice makes clear:- [[2288395]].[[2288634]]. by P L Chadwick – 27 February 2011](https://s1.geograph.org.uk/geophotos/02/28/84/2288413_5836fdad_120x120.jpg)
![Gate to Caldwall Mill Bridge from Round Hill Wharf, Kidderminster. The public footpath from Park Lane across the Round Hill Wharf residential development, leaves the development via this gate. It then crosses the Staffs & Worcs Canal by Caldwall Mill Bridge, seen here behind the gate. It then joins the canal towpath. A further path off the towpath leads to New Road via Tram Street.[[2288413]]. by P L Chadwick – 27 February 2011](https://s2.geograph.org.uk/geophotos/02/28/86/2288634_f8153dcb_120x120.jpg)

![Round Hill Wharf notice, Caldwall Mill Bridge, Kidderminster. The notice appears on the bridge, and there is a duplicate on Park Lane. The bridge carries a public footpath across the Staffs & Worcs Canal. It then goes through a gate and across the main road of the Round Hill Wharf development, and comes out on Park Lane. Round Hill Wharf is a modern housing development and not a mill conversion or similar. The tone of these notices seems to indicate that they would much prefer that a public footpath didn't cross their development, but as long as you walk in a straight line from one gate to another there is no danger of you trespassing![[2288413]]. by P L Chadwick – 27 February 2011](https://s3.geograph.org.uk/geophotos/02/28/83/2288395_520d4b7c_120x120.jpg)
![Caldwall Mill Bridge (No. 14), Staffs & Worcs Canal, Kidderminster. The bridge is partially obscured by a pipeline crossing the canal in front of it. The bridge carries a public footpath across the canal, which continues through the residential Round Hill Wharf development, and comes out on Park Lane. The buildings which can be seen here, are part of the Round Hill Wharf development. Caldwall Mill, or what remains of it, is today used for other commercial purposes. These days it is frequently spelt Caldwell, but the original spelling was Caldwall, and that still applies to this bridge.[[2288360]]. by P L Chadwick – 27 February 2011](https://s0.geograph.org.uk/geophotos/02/28/83/2288304_64a6c6d5_120x120.jpg)
![Caldwall Mill Bridge (No. 14) - name plaque, Staffs & Worcs Canal, Kidderminster. This plaque confirms the name and number of this bridge. Part of Kidderminster used to belong to the Caldwall Estate, and there was a Caldwall Castle (of which a small part remains) and a now demolished Caldwall Hall. The modern spelling of Caldwell often applied to Caldwall Mill is not correct.[[2288304]]. by P L Chadwick – 27 February 2011](https://s0.geograph.org.uk/geophotos/02/28/83/2288360_74738699_120x120.jpg)

![Carters Furniture, Caldwell Mill, Tram Street, Kidderminster. Carters Furniture is a family run furniture and leather superstore. It is based in the former Caldwell (or Caldwall) Mill, at the end of Tram Street, off New Road. Established about 30 years ago, the company's premises are tucked between the River Stour and the Staffs & Worcs Canal. The housing which can be seen on the right, is part of the Round Hill Wharf development, which is on the other side of the canal.[[2328317]]. by P L Chadwick – 27 February 2011](https://s3.geograph.org.uk/geophotos/02/33/35/2333535_3aeef348_120x120.jpg)

![Entrance to Round Hill Wharf from Park Lane, Kidderminster. Round Hill Wharf is a private residential development, built on land between Park Lane and the Staffs & Worcs Canal. The only vehicular entrance is from Park Lane. A public footpath goes through here, crosses the canal, and then joins the towpath.[[2290031]]. by P L Chadwick – 27 February 2011](https://s1.geograph.org.uk/geophotos/02/29/00/2290017_20af980e_120x120.jpg)
