![Remains of old railway bridge. This wall of engineering bricks is all that remains of the western abutment of the bridge which carried the Midland Railway's line from Kettering to Huntingdon across the Great Ouse, between the stations at Buckden and Huntingdon East. The line was opened in 1855 and closed to passengers in 1959, although some goods services continued until the 1970s. In its heyday Midland trains continued to Cambridge over the Great Eastern line via St Ives. For a view in the opposite direction see Michael Trolove's [[1923443]]. by Tiger – 25 October 2018](https://s0.geograph.org.uk/geophotos/05/95/41/5954104_00286e17_120x120.jpg)
