Llangollen Wharf

Also known as: Llangollen
Llangollen Wharf, Wharf Hill, Geufron LL20 8TA, United Kingdom

Information about the place
Llangollen Wharf is a major waterways place on the Shropshire Union Canal (Llangollen Canal - Main Line) between Llangollen Basin (48 hour visitor moorings and the limit of navigation.) (1 furlong to the west) and Ruabon Branch Junction (4 miles and 5¾ furlongs to the east).

The nearest place in the direction of Ruabon Branch Junction is Siambr Bridge No 45W; ¼ furlongs away.

Mooring here is good (a nice place to moor), mooring rings or bollards are available. Really pleasant moorings in the basin but there is a charge to moor. They are clean and tidy, well spaced out, with adequate water points etc.

Facilities: toilets.

Additional information

The wharf is the centre of operations for a busy trip boat business running both down to the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct or, in a reversible horse-drawn boat, along the narrow feeder beyond the basin.

Its only a few minutes walk to the town, which has a few interesting little shops (including one of *those* ironmongers)
