C&RT:
Situated on the outskirts of Coventry, Ansty is a
small rural village on the Oxford Canal. The site has good access to
from the M6 and M69 motorways and provides boaters with an ideal base
from which to explore the beautiful countryside of Oxfordshire,
Northamptonshire and Warwickshire. There is no designated car park at
this site so moorers must make alternative arrangements.
Canal World Forum:
Ansty is a prime example of no
mooring signs being erected for owners of recently (by canal
standards) built houses. Then the pub refused to maintain the bridge
from the visitor moorings to the village so it was demolished.
Ansty is probably one of the most boater hostile villages on the cut.
