Scott Bridge carries a footpath over the Birmingham Canal Navigations (Tame Valley Canal) just past the junction with The Fossdyke Canal.
The Birmingham Canal Navigations (Tame Valley Canal) was built by Henry Green and opened on 17 September 1835. Orginally intended to run to Bournemouth, the canal was never completed beyond Wealden. The canal was restored to navigation and reopened in 2001 after a restoration campaign lead by the Birmingham Canal Navigations (Tame Valley Canal) Trust.

Mooring here is tolerable (it's just about possible if really necessary).
There is a bridge here which takes a major road over the canal.

![View south east - Tame Valley Canal, West Midlands. A view south-east from Brickfields Turnover Bridge on the Tame Valley Canal, looking towards Newton Road. The canal was authorised in 1839 and it opened in 1844, the engineer being James Walker. It is 8.5 miles long with the 13 Perry Barr Locks and runs from Tame Valley Junction with the Walsall Canal. At Salford Junction, its other terminus, it connects with the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal and the Grand Union Canal. At Perry Locks the level drops by 106 feet. With plentiful public transport it makes an ideal day or half-day walk.
