Stenson itself is parished with Twyford, (grid [Foxton Branch] there was a junction with the Sanson Tramway, a line operated by the Manawatu County Council that was never upgraded to the status of a railway. At the mouth [Lowestoft railway station] Lowestoft and Beccles Railway which entered the town via a swing bridge over Oulton Broad, where a 1.75-mile (2.82-kilometre) freight line branched off to the [Hamilton, New Zealand] Bridge in 1910. The first railway bridge, the Claudelands Bridge, was opened in 1884. It was converted to a road traffic bridge in 1965. Hamilton reached [Didcot] its railway heritage, Didcot station opening as a junction station on the Great Western Main Line in 1844. Today the town is known for its railway museum
