![Windfarm protest sign beside the A483 road. The campaign against despoiling Mid-Wales with 800+ wind turbines and associated infrastructure continues. This particular notice has been in place for a while but this is first opportunity I have had to photograph it. In an historic debate in January, which was broadcast on the internet, Powys County Councillers indeed voted against two large windfarm developments. Unfortunately, the claimed output of the two are above the 50 MW threshold so the final decision will rest with the so-called UK Department of Energy and Climate Change. Another smaller proposal has also been rejected by Powys CC. No doubt the intending developers will appeal the decision in their greedy quest and impose a huge legal bill on Powys ratepayers.
