[River Parrett] population of 300,000. The Parrett's main tributaries include the Rivers Tone, Isle, and Yeo, and the River Cary via the King's Sedgemoor Drain. The 37-mile [Dumnonia] inhabited the southwest peninsula of Britain as far east as the River Parrett in Somerset and the River Axe in Dorset, judging by the coin distributions [King's Sedgemoor Drain] discharge into the River Parrett at Dunball near Bridgwater. As the name suggests, the channel is used to help drain the peat moors of King's Sedgemoor. There [Winter flooding of 2013–14 on the Somerset Levels] Moors and Levels are the rivers Axe, Brue, Huntspill, Parrett, Tone, and Yeo, together with the King's Sedgemoor Drain, an artificial channel into which [Somerset Levels] also serves as a drainage channel. The Sowy River between the River Parrett and King's Sedgemoor Drain was completed in 1972; water levels are managed by [Roy Redgrave] Ettie then left Clayton Parrett and went with Redgrave to Australia where she then bore him a son, Victor Redgrave Parrett, born 25 July 1906 in Australia [Bridgwater] level and well-wooded country. The town lies along both sides of the River Parrett, and has been a major inland port and trading centre since the industrial [Glastonbury Abbey] Saxons under Cenwalh of Wessex conquered Somerset as far west as the River Parrett, perhaps with the intention of gaining control of the abbey. Cenwalh allowed [Battle of Peonnum] for the Saxons, who gained control of Somerset as far west as the River Parrett. The location of the battle is uncertain. The border between the West Saxons [Langport] "Langeport") consists of two parts, one on the hill and one by the River Parrett. The former owed its origin to its defensible position, and the latter
