It was intended chiefly to give [Pidcock's Canal] called Lydney Pill. It was constructed from 1778 onwards, and there were three locks below Middle Forge. Following the construction of the Lydney Canal [Middle Forge Junction] the other past Lydney Junction. Middle Forge is 450 yards (410 m) away from Norchard and consists of a three lever ground frame locked by a Token. The [Transport for Wales Rail Services] able to operate coupled to (a) PRM-compliant unit(s), and the toilets were locked out of use due to Network Rail no longer wanting waste from non-tanked toilets [Penzance] replaced Matthews' original facility (1880), and a floating harbour was made (1884) with lock gates to keep in the water at low tide.
