[River Witham] The River Witham is a river almost entirely in the county of Lincolnshire in the east of England. It rises south of Grantham close to South Witham at SK8818 [Nocton] buildings on Nocton Delph ​1⁄4 mile from the River Witham, killing all six crew. 1 October 1943. Halifax DG275 of 1660 HCU spun into the ground at Nocton Washway [Car Dyke] bordered to the west by Nocton Wood, and connected to Nocton Delph, which flows eastwards to the River Witham.
