[Froghall] Froghall is a village situated approximately ten miles to the east of Stoke-on-Trent and two miles north of Cheadle in Staffordshire, England. Population [Uttoxeter Canal] did not open until 1811. With the exception of the first lock and basin at Froghall, it closed in 1849, in order that the Churnet Valley line of the North [Caldon Canal] Mersey Canal at the summit level), to Froghall, Staffordshire. The canal has 17 locks and the 76-yard (69 m) Froghall Tunnel. The Railway Mania of 1845 found the Potteries [Listed buildings in Farley, Staffordshire] List for England, retrieved 3 January 2020 Historic England, "Wall and basin enclosing the Italian Garden to the north-west, Farley (1037871)", National [Listed buildings in Wootton, Staffordshire] section and a chamfered top. On the top is "WOOTTON", and on the faces are the distances to Froghall, Cheadle, Hanley, Stoke, Newcastle, and Ashbourne.
