[Butt Bridge] the north quays at Liberty Hall. The original bridge on this site was a structural steel swivel bridge, which was opened in 1879 and named for Isaac Butt [Caster] line. Like the simpler rigid caster, a swivel caster incorporates a wheel mounted to a fork, but an additional swivel joint above the fork allows the fork [Balloon flange girder] Harbour, between 1848–1849, he also constructed a 'swivel bridge' – Brunel's first moving bridge. It is still in water but the swivelling bridges have been replaced by fixed bridges; the last vessel to use [Birmingham and Fazeley Canal] traffic. This created problems, as the flights of locks at Aston and Farmer's Bridge became congested, and this became worse when the Warwick Canal built a junction [Listed buildings in Drayton Bassett] List for England, retrieved 16 July 2019 Historic England, "Drayton Swivel Bridge, Drayton Bassett (1038819)", National Heritage List for England, retrieved [Protractor] connected to a swivel plate (with Vernier scale) by thumb nut and clamp. When the edges of the beam and blade are parallel, a small mark on the swivel plate coincides [Chesapeake and Ohio Canal] kyanized wood. In 1843, the Potomac Aqueduct Bridge was built near the present-day Francis Scott Key Bridge to connect the canal to the Alexandria Canal [Caisson (lock gate)] at Bristol's Cumberland Basin led Brunel to develop his first moving swivel bridge.
