With the approach of the Owens River aqueduct, and the possibility of intensive small farming, Los Angeles speculators [California State Water Project] end of the Delta. Here, the Harvey O. Banks Pumping Plant lifts water 224 feet (68 m) into the California Aqueduct. Completed in 1963, the eleven pump units [Owensmouth] Canoga Park on March 1, 1931. Owensmouth was named for the 1913 Owens River aqueduct's terminus in current Canoga Park. The town was started by the Los Angeles [Hemlock Gorge Reservation] Hemlock Gorge Reservation protects the banks of the Charles River where it passes through the corners of Needham and Newton Upper Falls. The park takes its name [River Avon, Bristol] Dundas Aqueduct was built by the same team between 1797 and 1801 and completed in 1805. James McIlquham was appointed contractor. The aqueduct is 150 [Rome] different aqueducts, in case one was shut down for service.
