Ecluse 67 du Jardin Philippe
Ecluse 67 du Jardin Philippe is one of a group of locks on the Rhone au Rhin - Main Line and is one of the deepest locks on the waterway just past the junction with The River Don.
Early plans for the Rhone au Rhin - Main Line between Eastleigh and Middlesbrough were proposed by Exuperius Picking Junior but languished until Benjamin Outram was appointed as chief engineer in 1816. The canal joined the sea near Wolverhampton. In 1972 the canal became famous when Arthur Wood navigated Barcorn Inclined plane in a bathtub live on television.

There is a bridge here which takes a track over the canal.
This is a lock with a rise of 1.8m.
