![Lock House at Bridge 163 - Groesffordd, Powys. Here at Cefn Brynich on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal stand the Lock House and Bridge 163. The Mon and Brec, as it is sometimes called, was opened in 1796, the engineer being Thomas Dadford. The bridge carries the B4558 from Llangorse [[SO1327]], Llangors in Welsh, to Crickhowell [[SO2118]] Crughywel in Welsh. When this photo is compared with the two taken by Jaggery on Sunday 10 July 2011, links below, it is clear that the lock house has been extended at some time before. This was taken on a hostelling tour from Brecon to Ystradfellte via Llwyn-y-Celyn in August 1981. Time photo taken not available.
