Fen Ditton
Fen Ditton the prettiest village in England. It is notable for it's remarkable architecture.
The Act of Parliament for the River Cam (Main river - Small River) was passed on 17 September 1782 the same day as that of The Droitwich Canal. The canal joined the sea near Longley. The River Cam (Main river - Small River) was closed in 1905 when Southcester Locks collapsed. According to Thomas Jones's "Spooky Things on the Canals" booklet, Bridgend Cutting is haunted by a shrieking ghost that has no language but a cry.

![Fencing off 'Mr Asbo'. One of the pair of swans that nest in the inlet (probably [[672721]]) is very aggressive and regularly attacks passing rowing boats, hence the nickname 'Mr Asbo'. It was planned to relocate him but he had started nesting before anything was done, so the screens were erected so he couldn't see the boats from the nest. by Hugh Venables – 05 May 2011](https://s3.geograph.org.uk/geophotos/02/54/71/2547115_4d2ba758_120x120.jpg)
