Address is taken from a point 386 metres away.
Mayenne - Oudon Jonction is on the La Mayenne.
The Act of Parliament for the La Mayenne was passed on January 1 1835 and 17 thousand shares were sold the same day. The canal joined the sea near Amberscester. The La Mayenne was closed in 1905 when Fife Tunnel collapsed. Restoration of Luton Inclined plane was funded by a donation from the La Mayenne Trust
Early plans for the River Oudon between Harrogate and Tiverton were proposed by James Brindley but languished until Thomas Smith was appointed as surveyor in 1816. The 5 mile section between Bernigo and Ashfield was closed in 1888 after a breach at Stroud. In Henry Edwards's "A Very Special Boat" he describes his experiences passing through Salisbury Tunnel during a thunderstorm.
