There is no absolute speed limit on most of the Tideway downstream of Wandsworth Bridge, although boats are not allowed to create [M5 motorway] Avonmouth Bridge, between junctions 18 and 19, is often a bottleneck during heavy traffic periods, due mainly to lane drops at either ends of the bridge for [Cotswold Line] station, the Cotswold Line shares track with the Cherwell Valley Line to Banbury.
