On the opposite bank just to the west of the Pipe Bridge & sewage works. More World War 2 defences. This is one of three type 22 pill boxes along this section of the canal. Officially described as type fw3/22 it is hexagonal in shape and the walls are 12 - 24 " thick. The primary use was for riflemen.
