The bridge looking towards Stourport.

If you look closely at this location, you can see where ropes caused grooves to form in the brickwork. This was caused by friction in the days of horse-drawn boats. This is not evident on this photograph. Note the slot in the bridge to allow the towrope to be passed through to save detaching the horse.
