The basin viewed from the towpath.

There used to be sidings off the Great Western Railway's Severn Valley Branch along both sides of the water here. The large brick structure on the right hand side of the picture was erected behind the stop block of one such siding to prevent any wagons running through into the canal if they demolished the stop blocks.

The former railway line is now built upon, and the former sidings are now "Longboat Lane" in Stourport.
