Where this modern mooring stage once stood a beautiful boathouse with a comfortable room above with a stove. Here the Ellis sisters in the Victorian age read and wrote in isolation. This once was all the grounds of Belgrave Hall but now a quiet public park but the Hall can be seen poking above the rise in the land.
