Panoramic view of the junction.

Looking south-east, the infant Thames (coming in from the right), little more than a stream itself, is joined here by the R. Churn, only about a metre wide as it joins from behind bushes on the left. Together, the two rivers look decidedly more river-like as they flow off to find yet more tributaries.
