The post is positioned on the bank adjacent to the castle wall which acts as a backdrop.

Viewed from the river as we head upstream in the direction of Biała Góra lock and the junction with the Vistula river. It is 44 kms downstream from here to where Nogat discharges into the Vistula Lagoon.
