This shows the top of the former Lock3E (note the lock wall ladder still in place), which was relocated here, as part of the original canal restoration in 2000, in order to lower the channel in order to pass under the Sellers Engineering works in a 350 yard tunnel. In 2012 the Sellers site was redeveloped, allowing the canal tunnel to be eliminated and returning the channel to its original level. Lock 3E was then rebuilt a few yards west its original location adjacent to Chapel Hill Bridge No 23.
