Smestow Brook crossing the Dunstall Water Bridge

The Smestow Brook rises near the centre of Wolverhampton close to the old Springfield Brewery. It was not diverted into the canal as it provided water to a number of mills further downstream. The Smestow Brook later joins the River Stour. The canal follows the river valley.
