Looking back up the flight, lock 12, towards step lock.

To the LH, was 'Banks' local brewery off license (probable private dwelling these days). In front lock Keeper's house (private Dwelling), to the rear of this building is a large side pound/reservoir.

This area is steeped in industrial archaeology as you climb the flight, picking up old wharf's/arms,cut rope work into brick, just take a moment and look behind you, today the 'Black Country' takes on the views of an Alpine Valley, then past black coal drive furnaces, turning the skies red.
