Doesn't look like much, look closely, see the curve of the timber, and the old up right post ? Recovered from the old wharf (Patrick Motors) that once would have unloaded coal into the paper mill that stood here.What you look at was part of the side hull an old sunken wooden joey, probably well over 120 years old, recovered by grapple hooks on the (only !) work-party on this end of the Worcester and Birmingham Canal. I still have the metal fittings on my windowsill, that I'm looking at as I type.
