The opening of Abingdon Bridge and loss of traffic that the road had brought [Shirburn Castle] floor level there are three entrances to the castle, each one by way of a bridge over the moat. The original entrance (though not the current entrance) was [Didcot] and Sir Thomas Tancred, who together also constructed the Forth Railway Bridge. It was a very costly line to build due to the heavy engineering challenges [Wantage (UK Parliament constituency)] Great, Wallingford, ancient enclosure walls of a castle and a medieval bridge. Faringdon bears a scar of the English Civil War as its church lost its [Whitchurch-on-Thames] Toll Bridge between Whitchurch and Pangbourne was built in 1792.
