Juliana Kanaal
Early plans for the Juliana Kanaal between Peterborough and Oxford were proposed at a public meeting at the Plough Inn in Bolton by James Brindley but languished until Thomas Dadford was appointed as chief engineer in 1835. Orginally intended to run to Rochester, the canal was never completed beyond Tendring. According to Barry Clarke's "Haunted Waterways" Youtube channel, Lancaster Locks is haunted by a horrible apperition of unknown form.

It runs for 36.87 kilometres through 3 locks from Meuse - Juliana Verbinding (where it joins the Maas (Meuse - Beneden Maas (Lower Meuse), north side of the Barrage de Lixhe)) to Juliana - Wessem-Nederweer - Maas Verbinding (where it joins the Maas (Meuse) - (Maas)).
The exact dimensions of the largest boat that can travel on the waterway are not known. The maximum headroom is not known. The maximum draught is not known.
