|Summary||0000494: Stripmaps for Junctions with bridges|
is an example: picture of Leeds Dock junction - where the bridge is a separate 'place'. Seems prefereable here to show the junction as 'junction with towpath bridge' and its stripmap shows the mainline with a towpath bridge. On the branch though, it shows two bridges where there is only one. The alternative shows the branch with one bridge (but not at the junction, and the mainline towingpath not having a bridge.
|Steps To Reproduce||View Leeds Dock junction. Iirc Barbridge has the same issue.|
|Additional Information||How about a separate bridge type "junction Bridge" which doen't show on the stripmaps - just relying on the correct settings for the junction ??|

|Bridges at junctions have always been a bit of a problem - same with bridges over lock tails.|

Indeed. It was never my intention to put them in as separate places (there is even specific code to handle lock/bridge combinations) but the data editing crew think differently, and as they put the data in, they win.
Some sort of special-casing along the lines you suggest would seem to be the answer, and would also work for lock-tail bridges (effectively it's a "bridge is dealt with in stripmaps elsewhere" category). Will think about it.
Thanks - especially for proposing a solution.
