Mooring is not that convenient either and I confess to have never entered its portal! The Barbridge Arms just along a bit, in the same direction we are looking towards Nantwich, is a much more boater user friendly establishment.

The Jolly Tar PH is a minor waterways place on the Shropshire Union Canal (Chester Canal) between Hurleston Junction (Junction of Llangollen Canal and Shropshire Union Main Line) (1 mile and 2¼ furlongs to the southeast) and Barbridge Junction (Junction with Shropshire Union - Middlewich Branch) (a few yards to the northwest).
 
 
The nearest place in the direction of Hurleston Junction is Barbridge Junction Stop Narrows; ¼ furlongs away.

You can't moor here - try NW of the junction or SE towards Huddleston. BYTW - it's not really a pub, but a live bands venue.
