Not navigable - a few yards by canoe. This canal was intended to travel by tunnel through Coombe hill, and then accross the Golden Valley to serve Cheltenham and the area. It came too late - the development of the Cheltenham to Gloucestershire light railway resulted in the proposed canal becoming un-ecconomic A very delightful walk from either the basin to the river, or in the other direction, passing a wild bird sanctuary (best visited in winter).
