User contributed information about Batchworth Junction
Water point is at the bottom of the lock just as you come out of it. Rubbish disposal hard to find. You take the branch towards the Chess basin and turn left at the drawbridge. Rubbish disposal on your right inside little car park. The toilet is in the same building as the Elsan. It stinks in there. This is NOT for use as a pump out it gets blocked. There is a Tescos with customer mooring the other side of the road bridge. There are a number of permanent moorings as well as temporary moorings. The whole area is REALLY busy during Ricky festival. The white bear, excellent curry house/ pub. Brilliant.

Mooring here is "ok" - a usable mooring but nothing special

Users' comments on mooring here
This is quite a busy towpath used by walkers and their dogs as well as a lot of cyclists and fishermen. You need to be alert to the cyclists many of whom fancy themselves as Lance Armstrong! They dont all ring their bells! Path itself is muddy above the lock and awaiting its turn for refurb (10/2014) Mooring is quite closely monitored by CRT enforcement.
